I lied
I just couldn’t do it…. I tried to keep my promise and not post any more of Daniel with his guitar… but he is so damn cute I couldn’t help it.
There’s something about his torn jeans, unkept long hair (he has since had it cut to a respectable length again) and urban t-shirt. This is so Daniel, and the bare feet is something I don’t even notice except that I have been studying these shots so much lately that I have come to realise this is classically my boys. Not that I am not a good Mum or anything, (am I?) who would dare say so? But I this is how it is. I am just keeping it real. His shirt is not starched, most probably not even ironed by looking at this, but he has no care. It’s clean, it fits, so he’ll wear it. Actually his shirts don’t even need to have those last two qualities to be suitable.
He wouldn’t care if his hair was cut… or combed. I could remove the comb from the bathroom and he wouldn’t complain. One less dumb job to do in the morning. I love my boys, their roughness combined with their sweetness. Even if they can’t play guitar to save their lives. They are gorgeous.

Yep, Daniel is Daniel and that is what makes him so adorable. For that matter the same can be said for all your kids. They are what they are and that’s what makes them special individuals.
PS I have stopped ironing all of Oliver’s clothes- just his “good” clothes and you know what? He couldn’t care less! I haven’t brushes his hair this morning- and you guessed it- he couldn’t care less!

Who does have starched shirts??
I only iron when there’s absolutely no other option!
Hey Louise, Joe has started choosing his own clothes – I am struggling!!
